Essentially, these are the same and they are important for the buyer because it gives them important information regarding the condition of a property.

Collectively known as Property Condition Assessments or PCAs, inspectors will follow guidelines laid out by the industry and these sets of standards allow both parties to recognize what will be evaluated during the various inspections. Therefore, both the inspector and the client can use the standards as a guide for procedures.

When looking at properties, all clients have different motives so this is taken into account. Whilst some inspections will look at the technical side of things which may require specialist inspectors, others will look at the general condition with just one or two qualified inspectors.

Because of this, the cost of inspections can vary greatly; it depends on the level of assessment, how may people are required, how long it will take, and more. However, fees will be agreed before anything starts.
