As we get ready for the snowmelt season (although we are already in the midst of it), it is good to take a few moments and think about your building’s storm sewers.
Storm sewers take care of water from rain, snow, and other water occurrences. Unfortunately, most building owners don’t notice an issue with their storm sewers until it is too late.
Be sure to check your storm sewers during normal rainfall. If they get backed up during normal amounts of rain, then you likely have a bigger issue on your hands.
Also, be sure to add cleaning of the storm drains and grates to your regular maintenance routine.
By doing this, you can help protect your building and your investment.
